I have a domain name, now what do i do?

In order to build a website you need:

1. Domain name (like something.com)

2. Web Hosting (the place where your actual website files are hosted)

3. Way to build a website either manually if you know HTML, CSS, by paying someone, or by using a built in website builder from your web host, or by installing Wordpress or similar CMS software.

Since you already purchased a domain name, you just need to get hosting.

Most hosts already include a free domain name so you can use it to build another website for free, and have two websites for the same price.

You need hosting. Don't get free hosting if you want to keep a good reputation for yourself, as the servers will always be 'down' due to someone doing something wrong, or exceeding bandwidth etc etc.

A good host I've used for years and are extremely reliable are http://kualo.net/

Now you've got somewhere to put your site, you need to point your domain name to it. For this, you'll need to find the Nameservers of your host and enter them into your domain configuration setup on GoDaddy.

Next is the design process, most people use photoshop for this. Create an image with your layout on.

Then code up a layout the same as your image with HTML and CSS, cutting images out of your layout image along the way and adding them to the HTML page.

Upload it to your webspace and ta-da, you have a website.

Alternatively, you could just hire someone to do it for you.

Usually a the domain should be on a server, and you should have access to a CPANEL, or phpmyadmin, or something along those lines to allow you to customize your domain.
