Yes he most certainly is. It's just that he hasn't really changed his look since the 1970s (though he's obviously aged), and back then, the outrageous clothes, long hair and androgynous look were the fashion. A lot of the time you couldn't tell the difference between men and women. But a lot of those guys who had the long hair and wore the makeup were totally straight.

We all probably have a feminine and masculine side, and I think it's okay to see guys who are comfortable with expressing both - assured enough in their sexuality to do that.
