I have a big thing for Japanese girls?

Now don't look at me as a creep I find most Japanese girls to be amazingly beautiful and smart and a lot of them have interests I have. One question, is it k to have a thing for Japanese girls? Seeing as I'm 16, Caucasian and living in Australia. A lot of douche bags at school find it Hilarious because I have a thing for Japanese girls -_- I have no idea how they found out >.<.

I think it has a lot to do with the media I see from Japan such as manga and anime. But as I said I don't look down on Japanese(or any type of race) women as objects, even though the manga I read is mostly boobs and blood. I think my main goal is to just spend time with them and talk to them about this and that.
