My mom is being a little dramatic and its killing me :/...?
So i told my mom is i can go over my brothers house because he invited me to sleepover and swim and play but my period is only 3 days and im not going there for another few days and im on my third day so whats the big deal? Then when we were talking she said it in front of my brother who didn't know i had my period so this is really embarrassing right now. Also why is there so much blood? I started early January and did get in til 2 nights ago but I've been having a heavy flow. Why is this?

Ok just calm down. All moms are like till we girls get to a certain age of maurity. It's normal. Even my mom used to be the same but as I grew up, she changed and became calm. Just be calm.
And about your periods - it happens sometimes due to hormonal changes. It's absolutely fine. For some girls, their periods even skip for a few months. It's all fine. If it continues for many days like that, then do visit the Doctor.

Well, first of all, if your first period was the one in January, then it is not always going to be 3 days long nor the exact same flow as that. You might have your period this time for like 12 days, who knows. All of that is normal. Your mom just doesn't want you to get into a situation where you feel uncomfortable about your period which could end up being at your brother's house. Your period should slow down soon, though. Just talk to your mom and tell her that you know how to handle yourself, and your period shouldn't hold you back from doing anything you would normally do.

Its part of life. Now your brother knows if you bleed all over his sheets, he will be very loving and kind to you. If you are crabby or not feeling up to par, he can be nicer...thats all. You may go back and forth with how your period will be until it evens out. You will see a pattern evolve and your body will give you signs to know when it is close. It just takes time. Don't be mad, hon. In our family, the boys all knew about periods, just as the girls did. It was nothing to them. As is shouldn't be.
