Solvent used in ink jet cartridges?
I want to experiment with taking a black ink cartridge and try to add solvent and a Mason Stain

A paint thinner may be used as a solvent.
Pro's
- it dissolves the ink giving you more printouts.
- It will still stick on any paper
Con's
- Printing quality is reduced
- Reduces the opacity of the color (ex.Blue becomes light blue)
Alternatively, water can be also used but it will clog the cartridge for sure, not like Thinner.
Just ensure you put a small amount of it.

From what I remember they usually use water as solvent for this mate because other solutions like thinner is not good for this. Be careful not to clogged you printer head though.
