G.E.D troubles??? please help :/?

I'm almost done with my junior year in highschool but since im in florida virtual school homeschooling program my only option is getting a GED because they dont give highschool diplomas so i rather get it over with now instead of waiting until the end of my senior year... but heres my questions...

Is the GED hard??

Am I still going to be able to get into at least community colleges with a GED?

When i get into a community college do i have to do other test since i have a GED?

And my last question is I'm 16 right now and my birthday isnt until september... if i wanted to start community college in August will i still be allowed or no because of my age??

please helpp :(

thanks so much in advance!

I'm assuming that since you say that FLVS doesn't give diplomas that you are a registered homeschooler (either in or out of FL that uses FLVS) and not a public school student enrolled in a Florida public school at home program issues diplomas (because there most certainly options out there where FLVS does give dimplomas). The GED should never be considered an option for homeschoolers. As long as you are legally homeschooling for where you live, your parents are the ones who make/buy etc your diploma if you want one (you do know a diploma is just a decorative certificate don't you?)

As long as your have homeschooled legally you don't need a GED to start community college, (or any public college and most private colleges).

go to your public library for info on the GED.

Many four year colleges and all CC accept a GED to apply.

    Many CC have GED classes.

You must have your GED score to apply to colleges.

You need to check at what age you can take the GED in YOUR state. It varies from state to state. You are going to need your GED results to apply to colleges and CC, you are not going to be able to take the GED over the summer at age 15

Also think about needing that last year of HS classes. College level work is harder than HS. You could use the academic classes senior year to prepare you for college work.
