Is 55 kb\s a good download speed for torrents?

torrents are basicall depend on seeds more the seeds more speed.

follow my few steps and you can increase torrent speed for 50-60kbps .

first go to thepiratebay and download utorrent accelerator and press start and copy torrent tracker list and past it in tracker list.

go to advance in option

and set net max change it to 90.

bt trans set it to 255.

go to logger and open all blocked seederr and enable outgoing protocol. And you wil get more speed and one thing when you download anything in torrent pl dont browse in internet as it will kill speed.

depends on many factors .. like it may be due to ur low bandwidth internet connection

or very less no. of seeders for the torrent..or the low bandwidth allocation of the torrent

so first u check ur the no. of seeds for the torrent you are downloading ( normally its very high for newly released blockbuster movies)

or if u are downloading using too many torrents at the same time..right click and set bandwidth allocation to high..

or check ur normal connection speed by downloading a file using DAP or any other download accelerator..

u can also try using private trackers instead of public ones.. like IPT..(wont help much coz most of the private trackers are invite based and u should only use them if u can seed for hours or have a good upload speed)

You see, torrent is the most difficult ghing concept i ever faced! There are numerous causes for low speed.

Things you can do- Increase bandwidth, increase seeds, increase trackers, reduce leaches, reduce your concurrent downloads(only one download at a time suggested), reduce seeding, try to forward your port etc..... Sounds like your torrent has little to no seeders.

To increase it, try to find torrents with a lot of seeds.

It's awful speed, you wont get anything done for 24hrs+ You need about 300kb/s + anything above 600 is great. if u can get 1mb even better
