Next new game for ps3?

Well, it's hard to say since I don't know what he already has...

What you could do is just buy a gift card from a store and let him go pick stuff out himself.

Otherwise...if you go to Gamestop you can buy used games which are cheaper. They're even having a "buy 2, get 1 free" sale this Thursday through Sunday. Of course they have gift cards too.

If you buy him something he doesn't like or already has, he can take it back and get something else. You can either try to get him games you think he'd actually like or pick out the silliest, frilliest game you can find just for laughs. Who knows, maybe he'll actually like it? Or you could pick out a game and a controller so you can play along with him. Just some ideas...

Infamous 2 (not really a shooter...more like superhero)

Assassin's Creed Revelations (everyone's favorite assassin's guild is back for more historical murder and mayhem)

Older/classics:

Resistance Fall Of Man 1, 2, 3

Red Dead Revolver (cowboy shooter)

Undead Red Revolver (I think that's the name - it's the zombie version of Red Dead Revolver)

Borderlands (get the Game Of The Year edition - it has zombies)

Bulletstorm (best m*****r f****n' shooter ever made - the game tells you so, so it must be true!)

I would suggest GTA 4 if he doesn't already have, it has a rich, in-depth narrative that is engaging to all. since it is quite old shouldn't be too much more then $40

Red Dead Redemption, Also by the same people as GTA offers the same rich narrative with an authentic feel for the westerns, it gets very thing right, and is also quite old so should be quite cheap to pick up.

Left 4 Dead, should also be a game that interests him, it basically shooting zombies, but its quite addictive

I would personally suggest GTA or Red Dead due to their long ever lasting story lines which take a good 18 hours to beat, and their pure share of believably. Also Red Dead has a DLC which features zombies. Either two will be a great pick,
