I've been playing League of Legends for almost 2 years and lately I've been seeing a lot of ''meta'' that and meta this,can someone explain to me what it means?

It means the current play styles, viable strategies according to the current state of the game etc.

Strategies, most of it is weird ways to play different champions. Like uncommon thinks, usually they work out pretty well, but most of it is usually something someone came up with and other people liked it and then it got on reddit or something. When I started playing, twisted fate was an attack damage character, and then someone went ability power, and it became the new meta (forever ago). Ever since, twisted fate is only viable as an AP carry.
