What does this mean coming from a guy?
Ok, this guy I met a few months ago. He facebook chats me everyday whenever we're online, flirts with me all the time (and not other girls, but he is shy), makes plans with me every friday, and pays for my meals when we go out (and sometimes seems nervous).. but then sometimes makes jokes about other girls & called me his best friend (so why would he be nervous??)
So, the question is.. why would he flirt so much if he just thought of me as his best friend? Could he just be trying to make me jealous with the other girls? Or are we really just friends?

Well you are friends and it Sounds like he likes you. He called you his best friend to avoid making you uncomfortable if you didn't feel the same way. That is also the reason he joked about other girls- he doesn't want to be too obvious probably because he is nervous and just putting some feelers out to see what your reaction is. If you like him and want to start a relationship try doing something like holding his hand- something that definitely cannot be interpreted as something "just friends" would do so he knows he can move forward with his feelings about you.

Life Lesson: Guys call girls their best friend when they like them. No joke! It means he feels comfortable with you ad you're important to him. Don't lose that bond!
