If God did not create angels, where did they come from?
The OT does not mention the creation of Angels in Genesis. He just created Heaven. - Later on, he decides to create man in his own image.
Angels, as far as I am aware, are not part of God's plan for redemption. They are not "sons of God", as God didn't actually create them. Yet by the end of Genesis, we have mention of Angels guarding Eden with flaming swords.
Any answers that I can think of lend to contradiction, or at the very least, call the origins of creation as explained in the Bible, to question.
Either God actually did create Angels, in which case, they are children of God (and if that is the case, why the need to create Man? After all, God has already created something in his own image)
Or Angels came from the same place as God did, before the "Word" was spoken, likely not as powerful as God, but still not of his own creation. (This also means that there are other divinities, or at the very least, other supernatural beings before Genesis, and that the opening line of Genesis is not the beginning of the universe, as there was a host of beings there before)
This is a bit confusing, as both answers lead to more questions, either about the validity of Creationism or the beginning or the biblical universe as outlined in Genesis. .

The Romans took the ideas of the Pagans and changed them into what we kniw as Chritianity. Everything in the Bible is ripped off from the Pagan religion. From the Sun God, to the Three Kings, to the "3 day rise and fall", and the stories about the water turning to wine, the bull being destroyed et, etc just represent the passing of the Ages. They all revolve around constellations, which the Pagans worshipped. The Romans just changed the constellations to people like "Jesus". Stop reading the Bible and start researching the truth.
Sorry to break the bad news, but there is no God, there was no Jesus and everything you base your life on is just plagerism.

There are actually different kinds of angels. Some are human angels like Phillip who was traveling in the Spirit here and there where ever the LORD the Spirit carried Him and others come from the Eternal realm and are Eternal Spirit beings. Those that actually ate food and did other physical things, like wrestled with Jacob , were actually human angels. Eternity is not a segment of time but Non-relative oneness with the Eternal One. The Hebrew word Elohim (God) actually includes angels for it is plural. Elohim means God, Male and Female and His angels (or messengers).

If God did not create angels then they didn't come from anywhere, because they wouldn't exist. 8^)
In the Old Testament, an 'angel' was just any physical manifestation of God. The burning bush that spoke to Moses was an angel. The 'angel of death' that killed the first-born of the Egyptians was an angel. Our picture of an angel as a human form with a halo and wings is a relatively recent development. In the Old Testament, God had no physical presence, not being a physical being, so he created angels to do his work on earth that required a physical manifestation.

Set all books aside, for I will share the truth with you. God created the Archangels because He wanted to share His love. Because He loved the Archangels so much He decided to create mankind, so they too would have someone to love. He created Heaven, Earth, the universes and all matter, including Angels. He created the Angels to watch over mankind, in case there were any kinds of injuries, etc. He made us reproductive, so we can have someone to love. Actually they are sons of God. That's what it is talking about in Job 1:6, Job 2:1, and:
Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Job chapter 38 in part says . . .
4 Where did you happen to be when I founded the earth?
Tell me, if you do know understanding.
5 Who set its measurements, in case you know,
Or who stretched out upon it the measuring line?
6 Into what have its socket pedestals been sunk down,
Or who laid its cornerstone,
7 When *the morning stars* joyfully cried out together,
And *all the sons of God* began shouting in applause?
Colossians 1:15,16 says . . .
"He [Christ] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;
because by means of him *all other things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible,*. . . All other things have been created through him and for him."

Good question.
Their source is not listed or explained, yet the angels are there in Genesis, and Cherubs too.

Nehemiah 9:6
You are God. LORD, only you are God. You made the sky and the highest heavens and everything in them. You made the earth and everything on it. You made the seas and everything in them. You give life to everything. All the heavenly angels bow down and worship you.

The bible refers to the angels in job as the "sons of God". Clearly they are created beings, and even though we are not given much detail, since they exist, they are either eternal beings or created beings.
God, speaking in cryptic language, of the being who later came to be known as Satan says this:
This is what the Sovereign LORD says:
“‘You were the model of perfection,
full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
13 You were in Eden,
the garden of God;
every precious stone adorned you:
ruby, topaz and emerald,
chrysolite, onyx and jasper,
sapphire,[b] turquoise and beryl.[c]
Your settings and mountings[d] were made of gold;
on the day you were created they were prepared.
14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub,
for so I ordained you.
You were on the holy mount of God;
you walked among the fiery stones.
15 You were blameless in your ways
from the day you were created
till wickedness was found in you.
16 Through your widespread trade
you were filled with violence,
and you sinned.
So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God,
and I expelled you, O guardian cherub,
from among the fiery stones.
17 Your heart became proud
on account of your beauty,
and you corrupted your wisdom
because of your splendor.
So I threw you to the earth;
I made a spectacle of you before kings.
18 By your many sins and dishonest trade
you have desecrated your sanctuaries.
So I made a fire come out from you,
and it consumed you,
and I reduced you to ashes on the ground
in the sight of all who were watching.
19 All the nations who knew you
are appalled at you;
you have come to a horrible end
and will be no more.’”
Ezekiel 28:12-19
The language makes it clear this could not be a mere human, but a higher class of being. It also says speaks of a day in which this being was created.
