PHP variable insert into form WITHOUT input?
I want to do....
<td valign="top"><strong>Detail</strong></td>
<td valign="top">:</td>
<td><textarea name="detail" cols="50" rows="3" id="detail"></textarea></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="3"><input name="name" type="text" id="name" size="95" value=<? echo $session->username ?> </td></tr>
<tr>
<td colspan="3"><input name="email" type="text" id="email" size="95" value=<? echo "http://mysite.com/userinfo.php?user=%22; echo $session->username; ?> /></td>
</tr>
<tr>
without having the user be able to edit the name and the email (so the inputs), If i disable the inputs (you can still see just not edit) the values end up being blank. Is there a way to make the form publish with the name as the value, and the email as its value? I cant think of how to make <? $session->username; ?> FTY the data posts to add_topic.php the current document is create_topic.php. This is to create a forum. Thanks!

how are you disabling them?
You should simply be able to add the attribute "readonly" to your text fields.

If you have the username and email address in session, why do you want it to come back from the browser? Can't you just get it from $session again?
If you rely on what comes back from the browser, then you have a security problem. You can disable an input field. I can enable it again using simple tools that are built into most browsers. So can any wanna be hacker. So you can't trust what comes back from the browser (unless it is encrypted data that only you can decrypt).
NEVER TRUST DATA COMING FROM THE CLIENT. You have no control over it. You *CAN'T* make it readonly.
I think the problem you need to solve is how to get username and email back from session, not from the browser.

People stereotype rap on what they see and hear through mainstream You couldn't stereotype 90's rap because every rapper was different Now rappers just auto tune their voice, wear skinny jeans and snap back hats, talk (not rap) about popping Molly's and spending money on Versace thongs and their love for white girls and say f*** emcees (the difference between rap and emcee is that rappers rap for money and emcees do it for the love so their saying doing it because you love hip hop is retarded) so when some one hears the trash on the radio they think that the rapper is greedy that he has to say " you idiots are the reason why I'm rich" they didn't do anything to deserve the fame And the ones that did sold out and discovered other garbage rappers So if you really want to know why people hate hip hop with out even listening to it, it's because those bums like Weezy F for failure, young cheesy, futurama, snitch homie quan, ASAP sloppy, Kanye the yeast infection, and drake the cake
