What live fish can you feed to Garter Snakes?

What is a good diet of an adult garter snake? My friend has to give away his adult albino checkered since hes moving. Im not asking him because he feeds goldfish which even i know is a nono.

You can go to petsmart and buy a rosy red minnow or a comet goldfish for no more than 15 cents. They are pretty frail fish so your snake will have no problem eating them.

    Hope I helped!

The water dish that you've to your garter snakes enclosure can be used as it is dinner plate. Depending at the measurement of the snake, positioned a couple of feeder fish within the dish. That's his meal. But you must be certain the water degree is solely prime ample to enable the fish to transport round a few. No greater than that.

When garter snakes get into a pond, they are naturally attracted to the most expensive koi you own. Eventually they will get to the cheap stuff, but always start with the best. I dislike koi eating garter snakes.

I use to feed my guppies and golds? never had a problem with that my garter female lived for 18 years on mouse pups and guppies and actually worms when she was little which was odd but I bred my own fish that I fed special diets so it benefited her
