Wy does this music generation suck?
I mean after the 2004's it all went downhill, i hate growing up in this generations music. I was listening to Let it be by the Beatles, and then Stupid Hoe by Nicki Minaj. BIG DIFFERENCE. 90% of the music is just overtuned songs. Why does this music generation mostly suck?
Yes I have heard of those, theres maybe about 28 songs that arnt bad,,but what I mostly hear is Rihanna on the radio, Drake, and lil wayne, her voice is way too overtuned. Especially in school
I just realized I forgot the h in the question, sorry,i meant "Why" not Wy

i really don't know. I was born in 1998, so i qualify as "this gen", but I LOVE the beatles. People are like, "wow, you don't listen to music/the radio? What is wrong with you"...I'm literally thinking "Do you not have ears or what....??? It sucks thats why!" There are some good songs, but i agree.

yeah i know... I ask myself everyday! It's like musicians decided to be shitty... That's why when I grow older I wanna try to save the music by becoming a musician myself. :) haha hopefully people will suddenly realize how shitty the music is! I mean all the music today is sooooo autotuned you can't even hear their real voice and somehow it goes mainstream... :/ But don't get me wrong they're some great decent bands today, but they don't get the recognition they should be getting... :P Listen to Hanson, that band is trying to get the nice old sound back. Their new album 'Shout It Out' has soul and motown influences. And it's pretty good. :) haha the good music was from the 60s all the way into the 90s, but even in the 90s it started to get crappy... But 2000 came and the music just totally died in my opinion... I mean that year is probably the worst year in music, I can't even name one good song from that year. :P 2003 it started to attempt to come back a little but then after 2008 holy ****... it's going horrid! SOOO BAD!!! I honestly don't know how ppl like the music from today. :P

Eveey generation has its own signature music, compared to our grandparents era to now music has changed drastically. Not saying that's a bad thing, each generation has to find their own. And out of each generation brings these bands that lives forever, thus called the clasics. Beatles sounds good to hear right now. Enjoy the music and live life as it should be. Peace brothers and sisters.

Well, I guess it just depends how you listen to music. Kids in middle school are followers, I've noticed, so I think they just like that the people they listen to are popular. But, some people may connect with the music on the radio. (I don't.) Just like some people connect with heavy metal, and some people connect with acoustic/peaceful music (me).
I think people should just listen to the music they like, and not bug others about the music they like. Now, I don't get why people loooove autotuned hiphop about parties and drugs and sex, but, well... Apparently they do. /shrug

There's plenty of good music out there. If you don't like what you hear on the radio, try looking somewhere else. It's not that difficult.

I love The Beatles! Just listen to their music and laugh inside at everyone else who doesn't know what good music is...their loss!

It doesn't. Mainstream music sucks nowadays that's all. If you'd really care to find the answer to that question you would've found a lot of good underground music already.
