What does the Doctor do when you ask for contacts?
I mean like when you tell them you want contacts do they give you a sample or something and you try to put it in your eye? They probably tell you about it first, right? Is it really difficult to put them in your eye and take them out, or even to clean it? Please someone who has been through this please answer! -Thanks(:

They will give you business card with all the contact information you need.

The first thing they do is make you an appointment for a contact fitting. AT this fitting they will measure your eye , put in a contact of a type and fit they think is right and check you can see properly and the fit is good. That may take more than one try. Then they will give you trials to take away. This lets you see if you want them and the fitter if they have got the perscription right. They will show you how to take them in/'out . Some do this at a fitting, some make a seperate appointment.
Most people find it difficult to take them in /out start off with , but after about a month you wake up one morning and its as easy as brushign your teeth. They will show you how to care for your lenses etc.

They will examine your eyes (cornea, tear quality-quantity, disease that may affect eyes) so that they will be able to prescribe you contact lenses. They will bring the trial pair and help you put them on and take them out. They will also give you advice and explain to you the basic rules (how to clean and store them, do's and dont's etc.).
