What am I doing wrong? I am doing what I should be right?

I am an 18 year old male who used to work at Six Flags St. Louis. I had to put my two weeks in because my family was moving to another city. I lived in Eureka MO and now I live in Fenton. I drive a jeep wrangler and that thing is not cheep to fill up with the gas prices these days. I had to put my two weeks in July of last year, So i have pretty much been unemployed for almost one whole year. I have honest to god applied just about everywhere. NO JOKE. EVERYWHERE. When I see a "help wanted sign" or a "now hiring sign" I do NOT hesitate to go and apply. But the thing is I have honestly applied at every place about 7-8 times. (NOT kidding). My friend has never worked a day in his life and he just got a job at kohls. WTF!!!? I had to have applied there at least 5-6 times and followed up by calling the store asking if they can look at my app and going into the store asking if they can review my app. I even got a really good resume. But that doesnt help. What am I doing wrong. I am graduating highschool this year and my parents do NOT kid, they will kick me out of the house when I am 18 and done with school. I need a job before Im out of the house. What can I do to get a job. And the cool thing was, I wasnt kidding about applying everywhere in Fenton and in Eureka, Crestwood, Kirkwood. All the cities around me I have tried but nobody gets off there lazy asses to make a 30 second call saying "We are not interested" or "come in today for an interview." PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ PLZ. Someone give me a answer. Not an answer that sais get over it, or you will find one just keep looking, or sucks to be you. I need someones help. I have about a month before Im out of the house. May 10th is when I graduate.
