There is no rule, you do what is right for you and your family. Depends on how you feel really, I felt like I needed to get out of the house and feel normal after labour and all. My baby was born on saturday morning and we went out for dinner on monday evening. Unless your baby has colic or any pain it's easier take a newborn out than it is to take a 7 months old. A newborn baby will just sleep through it all.

Your supposed to wait a month but if you dont want to wait that long invite them over to visit the baby !

I had a c section with both of my kids we left the hospital and went to walmart so i waited 2 days to go to the store. and i waited 5 or so days to visit grandparents and stuff.

Wtf a month? no you can take baby out when you are ready.
