We live out in the country with a sheltie?

and in N,Y there are so many ticks this year , I had her clipped last year and hated it but again this year my vet is telling me yes to have it done even with frontline on her., I;m just wondering does anyone else have their shelties beautiful coat clipped during the summer months,?

Frontline isn't a good tick/flea preventative. It's a good one but it's not the best.

I'd just get my dog started on a stronger tick/flea preventative like Comfortis, or Advantix and not worry about clipping my dogs coat.

But if you can't afford stronger quality tick and flea treatment, than go w/ your Vets order and have her shaved, for your dogs well being.

The vet is an IDIOT. Go elsewhere.

The breed is NEVER buzzed....it looks FUGLY & can ruin the coat permanently.
