So are you talking rock bands or pop/rock bands, you only said bands, and that could include blues/rock bands, folk/rock bands,country/rock bands and so on. So with that being said, there are no such creatures when it comes to best ever, just ones opinion.

I'll go with rock bands, as I'm no into pop/rock such as the Beatles were, even though they were great for what they did, but as George Harrison said, " Having played with other musicians, I don't even think The Beatles were that great."
