What happens if you realize you forgot your wallet after dinner at a restaurant?

what happens if someone really did forget their money or their credit card??

just wondering

Update:

i was asking, what does the restaurant do?

would they let you go home and get it if you left your driver's license or something??

    Assuming that you didn't come to dinner alone, one person would go get it while everyone else waited for them to get back. I don't know what the protocol is if you are eating alone, but someone eating alone at a sit-down restaurant is pretty rare.
