Where to sew in this simple Beanie Pattern?
http://www.p2designs.com/pdfs/EasyFleeceHat.pdf
This is a pattern for a simple fleece beanie. I have cut the material how it should be, but I cannot understand what to do next. If someone could explain where to sew (in more detail) that would be great help!

The instructions seem clear to me. It's a really good pattern, although it does work a little like those paper "cootie catchers" kids make.
Cut your fabric. Ok, you've done that.
Then, lay it out flat so you have all 4 "turrets" showing. Mentally label them A,B C, and D, starting from the left as though you were reading.
Fold turret A onto turret B.
Fold turret D onto turret C.
Now you have only two turrets looking at you, but they are double-layered.
From the top point of turrets A&B, sew out to the left and keep going about an inch after you pass the top of the fold. Angle it so your seam goes all the way to the very edge.
From the top point of turrets C&D, sew out to the right. Do it the same way as the first one.
Now comes the cootie-catcher part. Pick up the hat and squidge it sideways. The two sewn seams are now in the front and back center.
The two unsewn seams of the turrets are now on the outsides, right and left. Sew them the same way you sewed the others. On the one side where there is no fold, sew that seam all the way to the bottom.
Thanks for sharing it. It's so simple. I love this pattern and can't wait to try it myself!
Source(s): Whenever instructions are confusing, stop and read them out loud to yourself. Sure, you'll feel like an idiot, but it helps you to understand much better than reading silently. Most of us go far too fast silently. - Anonymous9 years ago
"seam from the point to approx. 1” past the top of the folded edge of one petal as if making a dart"
start at the point (the top) and choose which way to go, it doesnt matter which petal
