Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, or Atonement?

I have to choose a book to read for my british literature class and was wondering which of these three I should choose. Let me know why I should read one over the others. also are Jane Austen's books difficult/slow to read? thank you!

My favorites are Persuasion and Sense & Sensibility. I have never read Atonement.

Jane Austen's language takes a little getting used to, it slows down the reading, but it's rich also.

jane austen are classic book, so it might be a little had to decipher it at first (like the old fashioned word). sense and sensbility has a sister relationship angle into it but not as witty as pride and prejudice. i never read atonement before
