Does anyone have any tips about Chinese foreign exchange students?

The year before last, my family hosted a foreign exchange student from Japan. It went so well that this coming year, we decided to host again. So, after studying and looking at profiles, we decided that we wanted to host this one girl from China. The thing is, I don't know anything, really, about Chinese people or their culture. So, if anyone could provide any tips or anything for us we'd be grateful. (Like, for example, our rep told us it'd be a good idea to buy a rice steamer so she'll be able to cook some rice if she doesn't like what we're eating for dinner...)

Specific questions? Hm...well, anything about food, or common household procedures to be aware of would be lovely.

Update:

1. Oh, yeah, yep. I'm from the USA. Sorry, I thought I mentioned that before...

I'm just going to assume you're from the USA, because most of Yahoo is.

1: You don't have to go through all of the trouble to get the rice steamer, we Chinese people aren't all rigid traditionalists or anything, if she doesn't seem to like the food you cook for her, take her to a mall or a shopping street and have her choose a place to go eat so you can get an idea of the food she likes.

2: Most Asian stereotypes are not true at all, just keep that in mind.

3: Do not make the mistake of getting her Chinese takeout or anything. Seriously, we Chinese people think American Chinese food is a complete joke. (P.F Chang's isn't that bad, but Panda Express will have her gagging and vomiting all over the place)

4: You might want to get a pair of chopsticks or something because Chinese people do prefer it.

5: Some cultural practices may alarm you, but that's the way we're raised here. Don't be surprised if she spits bones or stuff out onto the table, because everyone does it here. Also Chinese people brush teeth before breakfast.
