is it considered abuse to have a baby girl screaming while you are getting her ears pierced?

Saw this in a mall recently.

I don't really agree with it and my girls had theirs done when they were old enough to ask for them.

    However...

Abuse this is not. Let's keep that term for true child abuse, as in the case of my adopted cousin, who was repeatedly raped by a family member as an infant and toddler. She came to live with my aunt and uncle when she was only 2.

Considering babies scream for multiple reasons and it is not considered abuse, the pain from getting ears peirced is not that bad. Babies cry all the time. I got my ears done when I was a baby and I am glad for it. I don't remember it and it is actually easier to do it when the cartlidge is still soft. I just spent Easter with a screaming 2 month old, and because there was nothing we could do for him is that considered abuse?

I never understand why people want their baby's ears pierced. It just seems so wrong to me personally.

they scream for their injections too. And people are expected to do that to their kids.

I had my child's ears pierced at 4 months. I read as much as i could, weighed up the pros and cons and decided it was in her best interests to get them done at that age, for a number of reasons.

She is 3 now, her piercings function perfectly, she enjoys wearing earrings at times, and her ear lobes are not wonky.

And she barely even cried when she had it done.

    No?

But anyway, babies shouldn't have their ears pierced

bound to have wonkyass lobes in the future

No. Plenty of people pierce their babies ears. I had it done when I was older. It did hurt, but not THAT bad. I wouldn't do it, but at least a baby doesn't remember it and doesn't know what's going on. She'll stop crying in a few minutes.
