There are a number of companies that make fancy stands for kayaks but they are kind of pricey. Here's a link to a number of manufacturers of them. Talic and Suspenz make nice ones:

If you've got a wall or fence you can attach them to, you can use the big "elbow" brackets they sell at building supply store to hang the kayak up on its side. If that isn't an option and you have to place it on the ground, just get a couple of 3 or 4 foot long pressure treated wood 4" x 4"s (like they use for deck supports) and rest the kayak on them either deck down or on its side. Never store a rotomold plastic boat on its hull in an area where it will get hot -- you'll "oil can" the bottom, making it cave it when the plastic softens with heat.
Keep your kayak coated with Scotch 303 UV protectant (most marine supply and auto supply stores sell it) to keep sunlight from degrading the plastic. A hatch cover is a good idea to keep rodents and bugs from getting into the boat -- nothing worse than being out on the water and realizing a spider is crawling up your pants leg. If you don't have one just stretch a trash bag over the cockpit coaming and use a bungee cord to keep it in place. Specially made kayak covers are kind of expensive -- I just buy the long skinny cotton canvas dropcloths from paint stores like Sherwin-Williams. They sell a 6' x 20' size that is perfect for covering a kayak. The breathable cotton keeps sunlight and dirt off but doesn't trap moisture and create an environment for mold underneath.
If security is a concern, you can use the plastic sleeved cable locks to tie the boat to a fence or other structure. If you use two, one ahead of and one behind the cockpit, it will be pretty secure. Speaking of security, its a good idea to write your name and phone number somewhere on the outside hull of the kayak in permanent magic marker or sharpie. Emergency personnel appreciate that -- if your boat floats away or gets otherwise lost or abandoned not only can they track you down to return it but they can quickly assure that you are not lost or stranded somewhere yourself if they find the boat. And thieves are more deterred by identified boats. Kayak theft has become a huge problem over the past few years.

Kayaks are fragile. An ideal solution is a closed box. Inside the box the kayak should rest on form fitting supports. Locate the box on the lee side of your house or garage. Plastic kayaks are subject to ultra violet ray degradation. Consider wrapping such a kayak in heavy duty aluminium foil before putting it in a cover. If snow is a factor, raise the kayak and mark its location.

It should inflate with the standard pumps you use to inflate a car tire or old style bicycle tires. Same valve stem.
