Where do the Harry Potter spell names come from?

You probably know them: "Lumos", "Wingardium Leviosa", "Finité", "Sectumsempra", "Avada Kedavra" and a million more. At first I thought they were latin but most translations don't fit and I couldn't find a conclusive answer anywhere. Could anyone tell me what language these (not just the above but all in general) names are taken from? Or are they composed of multiple languages?

She knew many languages. According to J.K. Rowling she used primarily latin but improvised a lot with other languages and her imagination.

Also note: J.K. Rowling had a very good knowledge and understanding of latin. She was after all originally a Language teacher.
