What should I pay a guy to build an App for me?
I have all the content down but I work on a PC and from what everyone says the work is much easier on an Apple. I just need someone to present it to Apple Apps, and get it accepted and up and running. I just need to know what the going rate is for something like this is?
thanks guys, The App was just accepted this morning and I paid the guy $250. It did go through review a couple of times as it is larger than I want it to be. I will fix this problem through the update process and I do understand about the different complexities. These are really simple travel Apps. called Cheat sheets for various south east Asia countries and cities. This is the first of many hopefully and I have a couple ready to go. We were just waiting for our first acceptance. Ha, I put it up on face book to show my friends and face book jerked it immediately. :) This one is called the Hoi An Cheat Sheet.
Guys, all good answers. too good to pick one. I'll just let it go to vote.

Like Dewcoons said, the amount that you would pay someone to help you build or create your application could depend on how much work they would have to do, as well as how difficult the work is.
If all you would like them to do is submit the application to Apple's App Store, and get it up and running on the store, so that others can download and use it, I would guess that this could cost maybe one to two hundred dollars or so.
I believe that developers have to pay in order to sign up as an App Developer, which I think is $99, but if you've already paid to be a developer, you shouldn't have to worry about that fee.
If you're looking for someone to help you program and design your application, perhaps you should try using Guru.com, which is a free website that allows users to post projects and jobs that they would like to have done, and allows other people to put in proposals for those jobs or projects.
Both parties can post things, such as how much they would like to pay or be paid, as well as details about the application and what the proposing person's credentials or experiences may be.
Good luck with your app and I hope I helped you!

Depends on the length and complexity of the app. Some can be programmed in a couple hours, while others can take weeks or months. You would need to sit down with a couple of programmers, have them look over the project, and each give you a quote. Not something we can do without a lot more detail.
(Try offering them a percentage of the profit instead of "pay".)

Depends on the complexity of the app. You also have to think about future updates etc. Its very rare that a computer program or app is written then finished without updates or bug fixes.
