Yes, that's why I would never say that I have a specific type. I've met guys who fit my description of 'attractive' and never felt anything but I have been attracted to guys who do not fit that description.

Of course it is! :) My last boyfriend was the exact opposite to what I'd have in mind as "my type", but I was still attracted to him. Maybe you have a few different types that you like, and just haven't realised it yet, or maybe he's an exception? Was it his looks that attracted you at first or his personality? Because if it was his personality, you might have fell for that rather than his looks :3 There's a few possibilities, but trust me, it's normal. Hope this helped :)
