If Liverpool win the FA Cup-Carling Cup double, which runner-up gets to play in the Europa League?
Assuming they get by Everton tomorrow and then win the FA Cup, Liverpool will have only the 4th FA Cup-League Cup double in English soccer history. Since the losing finalist gets any spot for European competitions not needed by the winner, which of the two cups will the Reds use to claim their spot in Europe and which one goes to the runner up?

Technical I guess they will qualify as FA cup winners if they win both as that's the more senior cup of the two.To qualify for Europe through the league cup you have to win it.The league cup runners up don't qualify for Europe under any circumstances. The FA cup runners up can though again as it's the more senior cup.

I'm pretty sure neither runner-up would get it and it would go to the league instead.
