3 astronauts were sent at that time: Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin & Michael Collins.
So, they took the steps on the moon as per there name order.

Colonel Edwin (Buzz) Aldrin Jr landed on the moon at the same time as Neil Armstrong, the first man to actually walk on the moon. Aldrin was, however, the second man to walk on the moon.
