How to prevent Strep Throat?

My throat is sensitive. Usually after getting flu, I'll end up getting a strep throat. Not that worse but it still hurts when I swallow. So how do I prevent getting strep throat? And does smoking make it worse?

    I had strep throat 3 times...each time I had no choice but to go to the doctors bcuz antibiotix cures it.

    Smoking can make your throat dry. But try brushing your tongue when you brush your teeth, that should help. Also using mouth wash.
