I remembered I missed my jury duty several weeks after, will anything happen?
I got my jury duty summons, you know, a long before the actual date, so I literally totally forgot about it, because I misplaced the summons paper. so now its been over 2 months since I missed my jury duty... I never even called to find out if I was supposed to show up or anything, I just totally spaced it. I haven't gotten anything in the mail regarding that I missed it... so I'm wondering what will happen? Is there a chance it was just one of those situation where even if I had called each day, maybe I didnt have to come in, so I just got lucky that I forgot about it? Basically I heard you can get a ticket or a fine or something if you miss jury duty!!
p.s. I've been to jury duty twice before, so I know a little about it, I always showed up, and got excused for being a full time college student. but im just so worried its gonna go on my legal record or something that I didnt show up for jury duty. Thanks!

You could be arrested, better call and explain like you did here, but they DO NOT murder people.

Since you forgot to go to the courthouse for jury duty, you were found in contempt of court. A warrant is out for your arrest and at some point, the police will pick you up. You will have to pay a huge fine or serve some time in jail and it will go on your record.
However, you might get off easier if you call the courthouse and fess up.
