You're right! It could certainly be a lesson for us.
1. Be sure you are saved so that if something happens you'll go be with the Lord when you die.
2. Be sure you pray before you take any trips; even better pray before you decide whether to take the trip or not. If God is telling you not to go, then don't no matter what!
3. Be prayed up and keep abiding in Christ; pray constantly; stay in the word so that when the end comes you will be ready.

Over confidence and lack of timely alertness made titanic to sink. Not the God.

Yes, cos the titanic killed way more people than earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, droughts and tornados, right? God made things are so much safer.
