West Virginia retirement - what is the least humid area?

We were in VA in the Shenandoah area last year and really liked it. We live in No. CA and are thinking of retiring back there. Is WV the same on the other side of the mountains? What would be the best counties or towns on the east side with the best climate? IS VA any better or worse than WV?? we know that property is cheaper in WV and we can afford more there. which is better and why?

You might consider the area around Winchester in Virginia. My daughter lives there and loves it.

In West Virginia, The Cacapon/Berkley Springs area of West Virginia is very nice. I used to spend some time there in the summers when I lived in northern Virginia. My in-laws used to live in the Moundsville area in the panhandle. It was a very nice area and certainly affordable. It was not so far from Pittsburgh when you want to get away. However, as nice as it was to visit in the area, I wouldn't move there myself because the water had a high and very noticable sulphur content.
