How is Caesars hotel able to maintain higher room rate than better hotels such as Bellagio and Wynn?

Probably because it is considered the excess hotel on the strip, it's amenities and headline acts defines it as a deluxe upscale place. There are deals to be had there though from your room price to meals, etc.

appearance and is very well known. i think caesars strives really hard to keep its

guest happy, thus a couple of reasons why caesars rooms are rated higher.

Simply because they set the rate at X and uneducated people pay the X rate. Similar to how Mandalay Bay, with their measly four AAA diamonds, command so such higher rates for their hotel. Sure, there are events that take place there, but it is not like the Mandalay Bay is hours drive away from another competing property. Someone seeing Celine Dion can easily stay at Bellagio, or Cosmo, or any number of properties. In sum - informational advantage, possessed by CP, that they enjoy over the common moron that will not research ratings/rates before booking with CP.

You're right and i don't know why either but i would always go with Bellagio or Wynn over Caesars Palace! Maybe because it's centrally located on the strip with the addition of the forum shoppes. I was looking at my deals right now and Caesars is $30 bucks higher then my Bellagio rate.

Actually you can stay at Caesars quite cheaply if you sign up with Total Rewards. I get room rate offers at Caesars between 60 and 80 dollars per night, which is quite affordable for what they claim to offer (which in my opinion they don't, but that's my opinion!)

However, having said that, some do think that Caesars Palace, which is huge place has an edge, mostly because it hosts events which make celebrities go there. It's a place where you can party, so to speak, on the Strip, surrounded by people with a little bit of money (not a lot). However, frankly it's absolutely lacking in class, whilst Bellagio is much, much classier all the way! Each to his/her own, and very grateful for variety in Vegas!
