Is Andrew Bynum a better center than Dwight Howard?
I think pound-for-pound, Bynum is the best center in the league. To me, Andrew is harder to stop down low and may be more dominant than Dwight. Andrew has better post moves, better footwork, longer arms, and he is actually bigger and stronger that Dwight. Andrew is a better free throw shooter, and can even hit from about 10 feet. Bynum is underrated as a defender, because of his presence, it is hard to score on him inside. Howard is obviously more athletic and can step out and guard perimeter guys. But if I were to choose a center right now, regardless of Howard's injury, I would choose Bynum.

Bynum has more moves in the post than Howard and is better offensively, but Howard is the better center. His defense is much better than Bynum's

this year, Bynum is better the Howard cus
of his drama. but over all Howard is still better
over all.
Bynum is the bigger offense threat, he has longer range,
better post move and he can finish with both and.
however, Howard is a 20/20 machine. that is pretty hard to
top.

No. Bynum does have a better offensive skillset but Howard still has a higher scoring average. This season and in his career. Also defensively he is on another level winning defensive player of the year 3 straight years. Only when Bynum plays at this level year in and year out can u say he is better. Not because of 1 very good year.

All LA-LA hype, Bynum is decent, but not great. And people keep refering to Dwight's play 3 years ago, and the weaknesses it had back then, but forget his progress since then, he's become nearly flawless in paint.
He doesn't have better post-moves, or foot-work, he has Kobe, clearing out most of the D for him.
And if Bynum would actually take a decent amount of FT's, it would matter, but he hardly ever makes it to the line.
Also Bynum is well below 50% without Kobe, and he struggles to be efficient, so it's very clear Bynum NEEDS Kobe, where Dwight does it alone.
Dwight was, and still is the BEST Center in the league.

Dwight is better.
When Bynum plays with Kobe, his FG% is higher, when Kobe doesn't play, it's lower. WQhat I'm trying to say is that Kobe takes all the attention off Bynum and draws all the attention. Think about it, if they both switched teams today, and restarted the season, the Magic wouldn't even make the playoffs and the Lakers would probably have the best record in the league.

I think you're right Bynum does have better footwork and post moves, he seems to have a better feel for it than Dwight. Defensively they're not that far apart although Dwight is a bit better because he's more athletic Bynum is right there but his offensive game more than make-up for what he's lacking defensively.
Yeah people don't realize that Bynum is taller, bigger and stronger than Dwight!
