How do I keep my Windows 7 from falling asleep FOR REAL?

I was downloading something I needed for school and I left it alone for a few minutes and let it fall asleep. I didn't think much of it but when I woke it back up to check the progress it told me I had to start over because apparently it's not smart enough to keep downloading while asleep like our vista (score 1 for vista, believe it or not)...So I went to the power settings and everything and set it to never fall asleep so I could go get in the shower. When I got back sure enough the screen was black! Am I the only one who has this problem or did the screen go black but it was still awake for some reason?

It's the 64 bit version.

NOTE: All the power settings are controlled by Windows 7 itself, NOT the computer, so my model shouldn't be a problem... But it's a satellite toshiba. And I don't want any answers like 'I don't know.' that's not helpful, and it's against the rules so don't think I won't report it...Any and all help would be appriciated!

Read the user manual section on turn off the sleep/hibernate mode(s) listed in all programs or download manual by model number from http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/js...

Go to control panel, click power options turn off/disable sleep/hibernate, click apply and save.

I dont know if you actually have "demons" but that patch of woodlands might be a natural focal point for negative energies. Was there a house there? Get the council or the owner to remove weeds and thin out the growth and create more paths to change energy flows. If there's a stream or creek or brook running thru or next to it make sure its not polluted or blocked and have paths made down to it. Create a path around the outer edges that circles the patch. Ask to have this done on the grounds of ... its a fire break! Demons outside the bathroom window? Is your yard fenced? DO you have a dog or cat? Could just be a "normal" run of the mill peeping tom or potential burglar casing for a weak point to break in perving thru the windows and prowlling around your house at night. Ring the police instead of a priest.

Did you download with or without wallplug?

No power = no connection. Perhaps there was an interuption at the router.

You can try to find the 'power management' in the control panel.
