particular the Olympic video games would be risk-free for the hundreds of others who will bypass. i've got labored there (Olympic Park) we've hundreds of protection group, 10,000 volunteer gamesmakers, an undisclosed style of military, specials on the tube and trains, many extra 'professionals' from foreign places - our gang is larger than their gang. no longer something is going to take place.

Great link ConservativeChitChat thumbs up!! James Bond 007 is said to be on standby.

The rest of us will obviously just have to do what we can.

You can never remove all risk, but the UK police and security services have been working for a very long time to make sure it is as safe as possible, and will be working as hard as possible to keep people safe during the events themselves. For example, everyone going into an olympic venue will have their bags searched, there will be full-time and voluntary police officers all over the place, and no doubt the security services will be doubly on alert to any possible threat.

Nothing is ever 100% safe, but it's going to be pretty close.

Safe from an atrocity, we all hope so. Safe from some Nut case trying to make himself famous, possibly.

We can only keep our fingers crossed and hopefully get to enjoy something which should be completely separate from our stupid politics.

Will find out when it ends.

  • We are allocating huge amounts of resources to security for the games. However, a terrorist only has to get lucky once.

No one knows for sure how safe it will be, but my understanding is that these Olympics are the most prepared for many many years so my guess is that security will be a critical part of that preparedness.
