1989 ford torus the security system?

Have a 1998 ford torus broke the security ring just behind the ignation key. Now have a new one and have it installed. Question is how do I reprogram it so it will now start the car when you turn the key.

Can I reprogram the security system so now I can start the car?

    You might have to go to the Ford dealer to have it done. They are probably the only people capable of doing it.
