You seem to have conveniently overlooked the 800lb gorilla in the room. We are producing more oil and gas than ever. Oil companies are selling it on the world market to the highest bidder.

We already spend more on our military than the rest of the world combined. We can't afford it.

Our leaders past an present are on the take or just plain inept.With all the natural resources we have not one drop of oil should be imported.
