Can we suspend politicians pay for the rest of the year?

It seems like our president, vice president, and every member of congress is either running for office or campaigning for someone who is running.None of them are doing the job we are paying them for.(They haven't for the last 3 years)Why can't we stop paying them until they go back to work and earn their paychecks.

rather suspend all of them for the duration but your Idea makes sense.May be we can base a law similar to California's where if they don't pass a budget on time,no pay so we could fix it so if they campaign instead of no work they don't get paid.
