Why does my boss not tell me what my next project is?
Yesterday my boss told everyone, except me, what their next project is going to be. When I asked my boss she just snapped at me "we'll discuss it later". I know I'm not one of her favorites. ..and it doesn't help that I'm on probation (cut my hours) for supposedly sleeping at my desk. I say supposedly because when she called me out I was changing the playlist of my Ipod Nano (we are allowed to play our own music on headphones) which was clipped to my shirt collar, not sleeping (explained this to her in private but she didn't accept it).
@missinglink....I hope you're joking b/c I find the 1st part of your answer very offensive. I would NEVER consider messing with a married man for ANY reason. ....and I don't own an Uzi, obviously you do since you mentioned it.
@Kirstie...My boss isn't really all that mean. Most of the time when she is it's because either a client or her husband (company owner) put a great deal of pressure on her all at once.
@metalqueen....there's a word for people like you. Unfortunately I can't use it here w/o it being auto censored by Yahoo. FYI....I am not the only one in the office wearing headphones....the boss does and so does one other person in the office. In fact that other person uses his iphone to watch netflix all day while he is working.

Chances are your also fooling around with her husband on the side and she doesn't like your face, so chances are your fired and shes just waiting til friday to tell you so you don't storm the place with an uzi.

If I were in your boss' shoes I would've done the same thing. Since you're listening to an Ipod obviously you're wearing headphones all day which means you have the whole rest of the office tuned out. Being tuned out means you don't know what is going on and noone can talk to you about anything. You need to grow up and join the REAL working world....where we DON'T play Ipods all day. btw...if you put the Ipod away your relations at work will be better.
