When you use your debit card..?

When you use your debit card, does it deduct the money you used from your checking account?

    Depends on how you use it.

    If you use it as debit (you punch your pin code in); the money is placed on hold and generally hard posts the next business day.

    If you use it as credit (you don't punch your pin code in); it may or may not place it on hold and could take up to 10 business days to come out of your bank account.

    It depends what account you chose, if you chose checking then yes.

    it deducts money from whatever account the card is tied to
