  • Why can't I get a boyfriend?

For over a year now I've been single. There's plenty of guys that I would date if asked, but they never ask. I've talked to a couple guys the past year, but nothing ever comes from it. I'm decent looking and I get compliments from a lot of people. I'm not conceited and I'm pretty down to earth.

Yes, I know I'm still young. But even so at my age its not uncommon to have a boyfriend. It's frustrating on my part because I do want one but I don't know why guys don't talk to me. Any suggestions?

  • How to tell dad I'm talking to a 19 y/o?

I'm 15 and I have recently been talking to a guy that's 19. I have liked him for a while and I'm pretty happy he wants to date. I've talked to my mom and she's open to it but my dad doesn't know yet. I'll let him know soon, but I don't know how. This guy is the best--old fashioned mannerisms, knows how to treat a lady, shows respect, and realizes that life's not all about sex. I want to slowly introduce my dad to this idea. I need some suggestions though. Any ideas? Thank y'all!

  • How to tell dad I'm talking to a 19 y/o?

I am 15 and recently I've been talking a 19 y/o guy. I have liked him for a while and I'm still grasping the fact that he wants to date. I told my mom already but my dad doesn't know yet. She said that chances are, he'll say no. This guy is the best..old fashioned manners, knows how to treat a lady, shows respect, etc. He told me there's more things to make people happy in a relationship than sex. So here's the thing: I want to talk to my dad about it and slowly introduce him to the idea. Any suggestions how?

    Thank y'all so much!

  • Can you guys help me out?

Hey guys, thanks for viewing. This is kinda important to me so please don't not answer because it's not what you were expecting. I have decided that I'll join the Coast Guard and the only job that really stuck out to me were the Rescue Swimmers. Now ever since I heard about them then I can't get it out of my mind. I feel determined to do it and I always find myself trying to find out more about it, like what they do, the requirements, and just small little details. I prepare myself for it and everything. But I have time before I can enlist so I know that I could still change my mind but I don't feel that that will happen. So is that natural or whatever that I think about it every passing day? I don't want to jump to conclusions but..you know. I think it's weird that I do this. I don't know if it means I'm cut out for the job or what. So could y'all help me out here?

  • Are cops nicer to attractive women or...?

Are cops nicer to attractive women who flirts and call him cute or an average woman that shows respect and admits where she has gone wrong? I've noticed alot of people arguing about cops being influenced by looks. I know women who are attractive and can talk their way out of a ticket because of their looks. What would you do, honestly?

  • Female serving in the Coast Guard?

I know that females can serve in the military if they want to. I've looked up almost everything I can about the Coast Guard and I'm determined to join when I turn 18. I'm fifteen right now. I know that I'll enlist, but I want to become a rescue swimmer. Yeah I know the training is hard and you have to stay fit. Thing is, I don't know if the people there are sexist. That may sound a bit pathetic, but if I have made it that far then I don't want guys dissing me because I'm a girl. I know that girls can't gain muscle as easy as men can, so it takes alot more to have the same strength. Yet as far as I know, men and women both have the same standards to be a SAR Swimmer. Would it be beyond my abilities to be a rescue swimmer or would I be better off choosing a different job in the CG?

  • Does he like me? Please please help me out?

Long as I remember, this guy has been going to my church but we've never really talked. He's more on the jock side but tends to be quiet and doesn't reach out to many people. I rarely ever see him with girls. But this past week while we were at camp then we started talking which really took me by surprise because I figured he was out of my league. We played a couple games of ping pong which got us talking. For the next 4 days we'd talk each day a couple times. I was catching him looking at me from time to time. He is pretty shy from what I know and yet last night I was sitting down in church and he walk over and asked me if the seat beside me was taken. Right before that he was sittin with his mom and brother. So to me it sounds like that took an effort for him. He'll tease me about my lack of steady rythym when clapping haha, and he seems like an all-around great guy. It's crazy to think he'd ever like me, but the only thing that keeps me from beleiving that he does is that when I see him then he'll usually be textin someone..I don't know if it's a girl that he likes or what, so I'm trying to not get my hopes up. He's turning a senior this fall. Please help me out, because honestly I don't know how to take this. Thank y'all, it's greatly appreciated!

  • What are some excuses for not being where your parents thought you were?

Okay so what are some excuses that give me and my friend more time to get home? So what if we leave home tonight and go to a river with some buddies, and my parents call wondering where we are at? They expect we're sleeping outside tonight and I don't think that they'll check on us, but JUST in case I wanna know some things to tell them that give us some time to get back home.

If I was on skype at midnight and my parents heard me and came in to check on me. I mean, what would be a good excuse? I can't just say I'm on with some random person out of boredom. I don't really think they'd like that much. Any good ideas? And thanks!

  • how to help my mom's self-confidence?

I'm 14 and my mom's in her late forties. She has rosacea(it's where you're blood vessels in your face get dialated which causes your face to get all red and flushed). For as long as I can remember, she will not go anywhere without putting some foundation on. She get's so self concious about it, and it IS noticable since it's so red but I'd never point it out. I know how much women care about their appearance and how much flaws can hurt your self-esteem. I feel bad for her but I don't know what to do. She doesn't feel pretty and she's flat out said it before. But she's got long blonde hair, blue eyes, and a great smile. So it's just the rosacea. Again though, it makes me so sad to think that she feels this way and I just want a way to help her out a bit with self esteem and all. So thanks in advance and hope you all have a good day!

  • Do I look decent? [Honest opinions]?

I've been told before that I'm ugly and one guy told me I look like a horse. I couldn't decide if he was joking or what, but it still bothers me. Poeple will comment on my nose and they'll say just flat out rude things. So I'm just kinda looking for some unbiased people's opinions. Thanks guys! Ranking 1-10 would help a bit too. What about best and worst features?

  • A way to indirectly diss my ex?

So I pretty much screwed myself over by dating my brother's friend. When we broke up, they still hung out. And you know how much drama travels from one person to another. So my ex started blaming me for several things that happened (which I can swear up and down was not my fault). Ever since he did that, he's been persistant to try and make me mad. After many failed attempts, he has finally come through and managed to piss me off. When he tried to convince a mutual friend of ours to not wear cowboy boots by saying "Who else wears em, who shouldnt, and kinda ruins the mental picture of em?". That was it, and I know he still likes me which is why he's so mad cause I don't like him back. At all. Well now I need to know a quote or just something to post on facebook(since I don't see him but once every week or 2) that disses him INDIRECTLY. Not to where it states his name. Just something to say I don't need his opinions and he means nothing to me. I really really appreciate this!! Thanks!

  • Parent problem -- Help please?

I've grown up in a church family my entire life. Everything's pretty much been normal and functional. Recently in the past year then my parents have been really protective (maybe they have all along, but I never noticed) and it's really starting to take it's poll on me. I'm not just talking about the major things-but the little things too. For example, I like getting somewhat of a natural tan before summer kicks in. But my mom's mom had cancer(not even skin cancer) and heaven forbid I lay in the sun. I asked if I could get a sunscreen that only blocked UVB rays so I'd get a lil tan and heaven forbid!! So I'm rebelling and tomorrow I'm kickin' back in my bathing suit in the sun after I go buy my own sunscreen. My dad doesn't really give me much freedom. I'll see him checking up on my facebook, reading text messages, and he doesn't even want me to stand by our road because "when people speed, a rock could fly up and hit you". What. The. Hell. They don't like me wearing shorts above my fingertips and when I wear a bikini my dad says "where's your shirt?". Honestly, this isn't going into much detail. But I can't explain how frustrating this is and how much I hate it. Really guys..

And then this last part throws everything off. My dad used to do rodeo's, ride wild bulls, get in fights, dip, chew, and anything cowboy you can imagine. He was as close to "wild" as you could get. And now he's all protective and keeping me from the life that I want. Then my mom would always run around Arkansas in the woods and be gone for 12 hours at a time, she'd drink, get in bad situations with men, use police as designated drivers(don't know how she managed that), party, you name it.

I don't really know what I'm trying to ask out of this, but it's really killing me. The more they're protective, the more I want to rebel. I haven't even gotten to the "big stuff" yet. I just need to know how to help this out, be less rebelious, or anything. Y'alls answers are greatly appreciated.

  • Some suggestions for spring/summer activities?

I live in the country, but not too deep. We've got 5 acres and alot of land around us. It'd be great for some ideas that don't cost or are at least cheap. Please don't post things like "bouldering, scuba diving, go to the beach, etc.". Because honestly things like that don't exist around here. So any ideas? Your feedback's greatly appreciated! Thanks :)
