What are some excuses for not being where your parents thought you were?
Okay so what are some excuses that give me and my friend more time to get home? So what if we leave home tonight and go to a river with some buddies, and my parents call wondering where we are at? They expect we're sleeping outside tonight and I don't think that they'll check on us, but JUST in case I wanna know some things to tell them that give us some time to get back home.

don't answer the phone. then later you can tell them that you were coming home but then realized that you had lost your phone and had to go back to the place you were at to look for it. im guessing this could buy you at least another hour

I dont really get where you're supposed to be or how much time you need. running out of gas or car problems of some sort is always a good way to go though. Maybe if someone needed tampons or medicine or something from a store that was busy... something like that

If, you're not too far away, say you chased an animal down the road that was in your yard, or you just simply went for a walk, (If it's nice out.)

tell them you and your friend drove to her house and are watching movies. say you didn't think they'd mind.
