*Please help* - does he like me?

Question

For as long as I remember, this guy has been going to my church but we have never really talked. He is more on the jock side but he tends to be really quiet and doesn't really reach out to many people. I rarely ever see him with girls. But this past week while we were at camp then we started talking which really took me by surprise. I always figured he was out of my league. We played a couple games of ping pong which got us talking. For the next 4 days we'd talk each day a couple times. I was catching him looking at me from time to time. Again, he is pretty shy from what I know and yet last night I was sitting down in church and he walk over and asked me if the seat beside me was taken. Right before that he was sittin with his mom and brother. So to me it sounds like that took an effort for him. He'll tease me about my lack of steady rythym when clapping haha, and he seems like an all-around great guy. It's crazy to think he'd ever like me, but the only thing that keeps me from beleiving that he does is that when I see him then he'll usually be textin someone..I don't know if it's a girl that he likes or what, so I'm trying to not get my hopes up. I've had a crush on him since fifth grade and I'm in 10th now and he's going to be a senior this fall. Please help me out, because honestly I don't know how to take this. Thank y'all, it's greatly appreciated!

Oh yeah, and to let y'all know I want honest opinions please. I'm not giving the best answer to the person who says "sounds like he's in loove with you". Cause I know that's not true. It's whichever one sounds like the most honest.

I think that you should ask him for his number sometime when you're texting someone else (like if you're with each other and he's texting someone and you're texting someone just be like 'oh hey what's your number?') and then text him when you're still with each other, if he ends up giving you a fake number you know he doesn't feel anything but if he reads the text you send him and smiles then it's a good chance he likes you. 

Ps when my sister did this she sent "hey cutie" and the guy smiled at her and replied "hey beautiful"

It already looks like some kind of friendly relationship has been establish, and i personally believe once youve established that, you can work on building any relationship into something romantic, so maybe youll have to push yourself out of your comfort zone, but occasionally give him that hint of like "hey! im interested"

It sounds like a definite possibility that he likes you. i would continue to hang out and just be your awesome self. guys tend to tease girls they like, whether they realize it or not. establish a base friendship first and show him how cool you are. sitting next to you is definitely a good sign too!

he prob thinks of you as a good friend but don't be so sure try complimenting him for maybe his appearance (tell him hes cute) n if his response is thank you then he wants to be a friend but if he says thank you n compliments you then he like you good luck =)
