Breaking up and facebook status?

Im sure this has probably been asked before. My partner has decided he no longer wants a relationship with me. So should I wait until he has changed his status on facebook before changing mine?

I know he isnt seeing anyone else.

(And for anyone thats wondering "this is what you are worried about" at the moment it is)

Why do you need to wait on him? Were you hoping that he would change his mind? Maybe he simply forgot to change it or he is seeing someone. Unless you're with him 24/7 you don't know that for a fact. It could also be that he left it alone because he wants to enjoy his single hood without all the relationship bs. He can't have that peace if other girls that are interested in him know he isn't with you anymore. Not everyone wants to jump out into the dating scene immediately after a break up. Don't wait. Change it. If he forgot, then maybe it'll remind him.

I'm not sure how long it has been when he told you that, but sounds like he ended the relationship.

It could be many reasons for him not removing you from his Facebook relationship status:

He could be holding on to you in case he realizes he wants you back, Talking with other people, but keeping you around until he finds someone else (like a girl did me years ago) He could be waiting to see what you do first, and by you removing him could make him realize this is for real, which could very well bring him back to you on the thought of losing you. There are so many reason for this behavior.

You sound like you want to keep him, so just give it a couple days, even try saying hi after those couple days. the best thing you can do here is just give it time, but don't completely remove him from your life just yet, or until you or he is fed up.

Source(s): Sad to say, I've experienced this before, and it felt horrible. Thanks a lot old girlfriend!

If you still like him then wait. If you know he's going to leave you and break up with you anyways, then why waste your time?

When he said that he doesnt want a relationship with you that means he just broke up with you.. so yeah might as well change your facebook thing
