a) Req = R1 + R2 * R3 / (R2 + R3) = 4.5 + 3.7 * 1.6 / 5.3 =4.5 + 1.11698 = 5.617Ω
b ) current in the battery = 9 / Req = 9 / 5.617 = 1.602 A
c) current in each bulb
I1 = 1.602 A ( R1 )
I2 = V2 / R2 = 1.791 / 3.7 = 0.484 A
I3 = V3 / R3 = 1.791 / 1.6 = 1.119 A
d) V1 = 4.5 * 1.602 = 7.209 V
V2 = V3 = 9 - 7.209 = 1.791 V
