That's a great song Mike and probably the reason I got into Rainbow. I was fortunate to see Blackmore's Rainbow when they came to town with UFO. I wished I'd have seen Blackmore with Deep Purple and Dio with Black Sabbath but hey, at least I got to see them both together.

Aint No Mountain - Dianah Ross

    short list of Dio songs:

From Black Sabbath - The Dio Years, when they reformed and was getting ready to put out a new album but didn't put these songs on the new album.

    The Devil Cried

    Ear In The Wall

And the last song from Heaven And Hell - The Devil Cried album.

    Breaking Into Heaven

There's been a release of Dio music since his passing with music from Elf and a band prior to that but haven't checked it out.

Mountain Jam by the Allman Brothers. If you were alone on a deserted island and could pick just one song to have with you, wouldn't it be mountain jam.

By the way, I was at Red Rocks in the second row for Ronnie James Dio about 10 or 12 years ago. Ronnie James Dio actually came out into the crowd, put his arm around me and facing the crowd, sang Man On The Silver Mountain with me. Now I am 6'6" tall and Ronnie was really little. So it must have looked kind of funny to everyone there.

Hi Mike, I haven't answered a Q from you in awhile, and the playlist might be long.

I know this girl has gotten a lot of negative press, but I enjoy the song, and it does, in a way, relate.

The other thing I wanted to say was about the passing of the man in the group "Band" sad that news and many good songs came from them/him.

In any case this is my mountain choice.

There is always John Denver, "Country Roads" too

    Miley Cyrus

    The other in a tribute,

    Hi Mike!

    I can't say better.

Misty Mountain Hop - Led Zeppelin.

For the next 4 weeks on BBC Radio 2, Thursday's at 10 p.m. U.K. time Slash does a one hour show playing music that inspired him. Last night was the second show, it was like the week before a good show. Last night he played the track you're speaking of.

Nightwish - Over the Hills and Far Away

Fool On The Hill - The Beatles

I can't say it is better, but it fits. We have lots of Dio because my husband is a metal head. I'm not too familiar with them though.
