Great question. One that many muslims will not know how to answer accordingly. The only clear answer is found in the Holy Quran.. The Quran mainly preachs that woman are no more than mere sexual slaves to their husbands. No amount of denial from Muslims can change what is written plain and clear in their book.

I am a muslim and I am treated as an equal. If you're going to write a hate question you should at least get your facts right. I dress how I dress because I choose to follow islam. And I do go out and enjoy myself in a way that it follows my religion as it is my CHOICE.

When will Christians treat their women as equals???

As for women Preists , = Zero as Priests are in the Roman Catholic Church which will not ordaine women.

In USA, every 2 minutes a rape takes place.If that is freedom for women, then what more can I say?

In some countries cultural values come into play, which prevents women from having their God given rights. The media does tend to hype things up though, I've been to such countries and they're not half as bad as they're made out to be.

The USA has never had a female president whereas Indonesia, the country with the highest Muslim population has.

Those Scriptures actually gave women rights most women were denied before Islam (except a few of the very wealthy). The right to choose their husband, the right to inheritance, the right to their own property (which is theirs to dispose of however they choose to), the right to an education and the abolition of female infanticide and wife inheritance are just a few of the rights mentioned for women.

Its true that some muslims are not treating women fairly but that is due to their mentalities and the way they were raised.

You can't judge a religion by its people, judge it by its scriptures.
